Sometimes the gap between our lived experiences today and the world of the Bible seems immeasurable. Especially for our youth, the stories of Scripture can seem out of touch with the joys and struggles they experience every day. In this elective, we will explore practical ways to open up our theological imaginations in order to recognize how our stories are intertwined with the stories we encounter in the Bible. Together, we will dive into several biblical stories of doubt, healing, and faith—focusing on those who may feel that they don't belong. We will emerge with a stronger sense of Jesus' mission—to deliver the good news that the story of God's work in the world is a story to which we all belong, a story that continues in our day-to-day lives.
